A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

I made a trip back to my beloved country of Wales last weekend and remembered to bring back the vault of drawings that I had left behind during the move closer to London. Looking at some of the pieces made me realise how much I have developed and can only hope that this is a continuing thing.

I can finally share the latest piece from my Interwoven series, this piece took some time to complete as it's quite an intricate piece but also the opportunities to work on this piece have been quite limited this week.

My next update will consist of something a little different, stay tuned.

Progress 01_07

The seventh image in the Interwoven series is in process, I've been debating how many images to include in the series as I may want to add a piece to it in the future for my development as an illustrator as well as the series itself.

I was able to finish this earlier today and wanted to share with you the sixth piece in the series. Along with the progress shots of this piece I was using 'something beautiful' as somewhat of a tagline, what are your thoughts?

Progress (Interwoven 06)

I haven't posted something in a bit and I would like to show you why, above is one of the latest progress shots of the newest Interwoven piece. I have really enjoyed creating this one as it's a little different from the others. This edition to the series will be completed really soon so stay tuned for the update.

The start of something beautiful (well hopefully), this is the 'bare bones' of Interwoven 06. Apologies for the quality of the photo my initial pencil strokes are very light until I am happy with what I see.

I am now half way through the Interwoven series after completing the fifth piece. I had originally planned three pieces for this body of work but after a difficult editing process to select only three images the series was expanded.

Here is the finished image of Interwoven 01. I'm not 100% pleased with the editing on the image, which is a shame because I really like the outcome of the original.
