'ILLUSTRATED TYPE' GALLERY NUCLEUS

I was kindly asked by Jennifer at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, USA to contribute a type illustration to their upcoming exhibition titled, 'Illustrated Type'. I chose the letter 'O' to illustrate and approached the piece in a similar way to a previous project of mine where I explored an alternative representation of wood block letters.

Thank you to Jennifer and Gallery Nucleus for the opportunity to exhibit my work internationally, this will be the first time that a piece of mine as been shown outside of the United Kingdom.

I am very much looking forward to seeing photographs of the exhibition and hopefully continuing to appear in galleries across the world.

LIVE DRAWING AT GINGER MOO GALLERY

On Monday I was drawing live at the Ginger Moo Gallery as part of the Crawley Wordfest 2011. While at the gallery I began working on a new series of typographic illustrations in order to reflect the concept of the festival.

Above are some photographs taken by Jo Harrison, one of the event organisers. I would like to thank Jo and Rachel for having me at the gallery and all those who took an interest in what I was doing.
