During a little down time I was looking around the web and found an interesting opportunity that called for opening the pack of pencils sent to me by Derwent. The result of which is currently in progress and can be seen above.

I'll unveil the final piece and what it is for later in the month.

Here is a progress shot of a portrait that I'm currently working on. I'll be spending the remainder of today and tomorrow drawing this cheeky chap to be able to include the piece in an upcoming portfolio consultation.

W.I.P_01

I'm currently working on something that is completely different for me as a creative person in terms of the subject content. Unfortunately it has to remain quite secretive at the moment, although further details and more progress shots will be shown soon.

Hopefully the macro shot above will entice you into following the progress of this piece, you never know how it may turn out or what it may be for...

PUT UP OR SHUT UP

I haven't posted anything for a little while so I thought I would share with you the reason why. I have been working on a new piece that is larger in scale than my previous illustrations. The size of the image as well as the little time I have had to work on it has caused it to run a little over my expected deadline for completion but I will hopefully finish it soon.

The progress shot above depicts the attempted start of an eye, I haven't done much portrait work for some time so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Above is a progress macro shot of the latest piece I am working on, my contribution to the new year naturally titled, '2010'. The piece is in colour which is a big change from my usual medium of pencil, it will be finished quite soon so keep a look out for the finished image.

The seventh image in the Interwoven series is in process, I've been debating how many images to include in the series as I may want to add a piece to it in the future for my development as an illustrator as well as the series itself.

Progress (Interwoven 06)

I haven't posted something in a bit and I would like to show you why, above is one of the latest progress shots of the newest Interwoven piece. I have really enjoyed creating this one as it's a little different from the others. This edition to the series will be completed really soon so stay tuned for the update.

The start of something beautiful (well hopefully), this is the 'bare bones' of Interwoven 06. Apologies for the quality of the photo my initial pencil strokes are very light until I am happy with what I see.
