MIGRATE MAGAZINE

.....................................................................................................................................

It's always great to get your work into print, especially after what seems like an age. I was asked to contribute to the South African publication 'Migrate' this particular issue explored the theme of curiosity. I join a number of talented image makers in supplying existing examples of work and asking a few questions.

The publication is nicely produced boasting a UV spot finish and die-cut front cover which entices the curiosity of the viewer to reveal the artwork behind. If you are able to get a copy it is well worth a read.

AOI IMAGES 35 BOOK AND EXHIBITION

I thought I would share some quick photographs of the AOI Images 35 book that my work was selected to be a part of. The book accompanies the exhibition which is open from 26th August - 2nd September 2011 at the Bankside Gallery, 48 Hopton Street, Lodon, SE1 9JH.

I was able to attend the private view and thoroughly enjoyed seeing inspirational work, meeting up with old faces and meeting new ones. If you have a chance pay the exhibition a visit to see a wide variety of beautiful illustration.

LIVE DRAWING AT GINGER MOO GALLERY

On Monday I was drawing live at the Ginger Moo Gallery as part of the Crawley Wordfest 2011. While at the gallery I began working on a new series of typographic illustrations in order to reflect the concept of the festival.

Above are some photographs taken by Jo Harrison, one of the event organisers. I would like to thank Jo and Rachel for having me at the gallery and all those who took an interest in what I was doing.

A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

I made a trip back to my beloved country of Wales last weekend and remembered to bring back the vault of drawings that I had left behind during the move closer to London. Looking at some of the pieces made me realise how much I have developed and can only hope that this is a continuing thing.

Above are some photos of previous projects, some of which I still use to promote myself today. To see the finished versions of some of the work follow the link below to my website.
