ORIGIN FEATURED IN CREATIVE REVIEW

A massive thank you to the wonderful Creative Review who have featured 'Origin' in this month's issue. The support is overwhelming and very much appreciated. Here you can see a portrait that will be featured in the show which has never been seen, I can't think of a better way for you all to see it first.

A great issue with an interesting story behind the front cover.

CREATIVE REVIEW TWEET UP: BLAST/ BLESS

Creative Review have announced that they will be teaming up with the Tate Britain to mark the gallery's new exhibition 'The Vorticists: Manifesto for a Modern World' with an adoption of the themes associated with this movement (Blast and Bless).

The publication are looking for work based on these themes to be included in the next Tweet up at the Tate Britain on July 21st. The piece of work that is deemed the best by the CR team will even be made into a special double sided print which will be unveiled on the night.

If you are looking to enter imagery for the event or would just like more information there are a few links below that should be of help.

LADY GAGA SPOTTED ON COLOURSPACES

I was pleased to see my Lady Gaga Illustration for Creative Review on the wonderful blog, ColourSpaces created by Radim Malinic (Brand Nu). I am due to return to using my weapon of choice (pencil) this evening on a new project.

A big thank you to Radim for the exposure, very much appreciated.

CREATIVE REVIEW

Here is something that I could not wait to share with you, a recent commission for Creative Review.

The crux of the article refers to a recent influx of celebrities being employed in creative roles by big brands. A prime example of this is Lady Gaga's new position as Polaroid's Creative Director. It was decided that this was the best approach to take for the illustration which can be seen in this issue of this wonderful publication.

More photos of the original piece can be seen on my website, Flickr and Behance.

EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR CREATIVE REVIEW

After experimenting with pencil sharpenings for my new agent, Handsome Frank I began to think who else I would like to thank with a similar concept.

It was only natural that Creative Review came to mind, not only for being the pinnacle design and culture publication but also for their warm welcome and goodbye I received during my time there.

Hopefully they'll find a good home for this in the office.

'BROTHER'

Something that I couldn't wait to share upon it's completion is the newest original I have created, a portrait of my brother. The illustration was revealed as part of the Creative Review tweet up in the Design Museum, London.

The portrait expresses a continuing attempt to explore the distortion of form, an element that I insist on incorporating within my work. The piece also acts as a big thank you to my brother for his help and support over the years.

CREATIVE REVIEW TWEET UP

Tonight is the night of Creative Review's Tweet Up at the Design Museum in London. The event intends to bring creative people together to collaborate, converse and enjoy the artwork. I am fortunate enough to be participating in the exhibition by revealing my latest original.

The event not only allows those selected to hang their work next to each other but to show the artwork of those who are not able to attend via Creative Review's Tweet up Flickr group. The images that are added to this group will be projected as part of the exhibition.

If you make it to the event please feel free to come over and say hello.
